Great Reputation - Highlighted in the news - 2100 sq ft of Seating
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who loves great coffee and interacting with the community.
Revive With Coffee was created because we wanted a good cup of espresso. We also own the shopping plaza and hobby store, so the optics of a 1959 VW Bus and outdoor seating is inviting and increases foot traffic for everyone.
This was our first full summer open. We were only open 1 to 3 days a week but it really took off. Channel 10 did a nice piece on it you can see here:

Even though we were only open a short period, the growth was amazing and $1000 dollar days were not uncommon towards the end. Plus we added a music night where people would come out for coffee and deserts. But we feel it could do so much more if someone could work it 5 to 6 days a week for 9 to 10 months a year. And taking it to events would be a plus.
Here are the details: The bus is a replica of a 1959 VW bus with an electric engine. The coffee “truck” is actually a “cart” as it does not go fast enough to be registered for public roads in RI. You will have to tow it to go to other locations. The interior is RI Dept of Health approved for food service and equipped with 4 bay sinks, water heater, fridge, stainless steel all around, la marzocco espresso machine, an industrial grinder and all the accessories needed. We have never moved the bus, so we can operate with a custom made extension cord, but it can be run from a generator.
The outdoor seating area is approximately 4600 sq ft with 2 covered seating areas.
The cost of the bus and equipment is $60,000 and comes with a 10-year paid lease and use of the outdoor seating area. Lease does not include electricity.
Owner financing is available for the right buyers.
What makes a coffee truck successful? Besides a dedicated and motivated person, these are the keys:
Key #1 Location. Coffee shops are gathering places, so the best location is where your target customers like to get together.
Revive With Coffee is located on Main Street – the MAIN STREET going to Westerly and the southern beaches. We get thousands of cars per day on this road, and you can’t miss the red and white bus.
If you have the ability to tow the bus to other locations, the real money is setting up at baseball/softball complexes and catching the days worth of parents watching their kids. Coffee trucks can make up to $3000 in a single day at these events.
Key #2 Quality and variety of coffee drinks offered.
Revive With Coffee offers Seaworthy Roasted coffee (Wakefield RI) and we are the only place to get an espresso north of Westerly and south of Exit 7 (old exit 3).
Key #3 Cost of goods including the wholesale coffee costs.
We buy direct from the roaster. Our supplies come from a wholesale account in Westerly. All local and priced right.
Key #4 Competitive differentiation, such as additional on-premises food and beverage offerings, retail coffee and tea sales.
We provide Knead Donuts and other food products. But we also partner with Revive Hobby Shop, next door in the plaza, to sell summer toys for the beach goers. And as you can see in the pictures, our swag is very popular too.
Key #5 Consumer Engagement - Social Media
Honestly, this is the part we could have done better. When our daughter was available last summer, we were much more engaged with social media and this seems to be the key to ensure new customers find you. Once they find you, they become regulars.
So that’s the story. We want the new owners to be successful and will work with the right buyers to meet both of our goals. Please contact us for more information.
