Village Music at 9th Avenue in the Inner Sunset Neighborhood in San Francisco is an excellent business opportunity for someone interested in owning their own successful music school. The school mainly offers piano lessons, but also guitar, ukulele, and brass instruments. Practice room rentals are also about 10-15% of gross revenue.

The business was established in 2012, and has consistently improved year after year without any real money spent on advertising. There is constant foot traffic in this busy, idyllic neighborhood full of restaurants and other small businesses. Most clients stay for a minimum of 2-3 years of weekly lessons, but many clients stay for 7+ years consistently. The business consistently attracts new clients through the website, foot traffic, and referrals. Over 75% of clients live within 1-2 miles of the school. It truly is a neighborhood business.

Currently there are five employees. Two full time, and three part time. The operator is present only 12-15 hours per week, and has run the studio remotely for months at a time.
