Cosmetic Surgery Practice Southwest US

Description : This Plastic Surgery practice was started in 1993 by the owner and has been in its current single office location since 1995, in a leased office building. All surgeries are performed by the owner and are performed four days a week at an Ambulatory Surgical Center two miles from the office. There is one full-time Patient Coordinator, one part-time front receptionist, one part-time administrative assistant, and an Office Manager as well as the Director of Nursing Care. The practice does not accept insurance nor participate in financing. It accepts cash, cashiers’ check or credit card. The practice uses a combination server/cloud based EMR (PatientNow) for scheduling, generating cost analysis, issuing prescriptions and for patient reminders. Separate QuickBooks is used for patient accounting and Quicken for practice bookkeeping. Practice bill payment is controlled by the owner. The practice is currently focused on cosmetic surgery of the breast and body with emphasis on breast implant placement, revision and correction of complex and/or “botched” previous results. This practice focuses almost exclusively on the aesthetic breast and with one practitioner, a small staff and low overhead, it performs over 420 procedures per year. The practice spends little to no money on advertising, has some social media presence and yet has gathered over 550 five-star Google reviews. The practice receives roughly 125 inquiries per week from a combination of website and phone calls from new and previous patients. The majority of patients are from the local metro area. There is a healthy out-of-state and international clientele, making up roughly 12% of the patient source.
