Sun-E-Land Bikes is an established business in its 5th year in the most up and coming area of Bellingham. Located in 'The Portal: Bellingham's Container Village' Sun-E-Land Bikes sells, rents, services bikes and leads tours of Bellingham. Our bike shop is a 8' x 40' shipping container, owned by the company that is leased on the Port of Bellingham property. The lease is very affordable and we have a good working relationship with our property managers. We are an LLC owned and operated by a sole owner.
Sun-E-Land Bikes is its own brand of electric bicycle. We have sold hundreds of our E-bikes to people throughout Washington and have shipped bikes across the country. We currently sell our own models of E-bikes as well as rent them for locals and visitors. We also rent bikes for people in Bellingham to ride on the bike track directly behind our location at The Portal. Additionally we service bikes for our own bikes and E-bike companies around the country such as Rad Bikes, Lectric and Aventon. Our rentals are mainly for novice riders that want to experience the beautiful trails and sights of Bellingham. We offer tours and servicing for most types of bikes.
Our revenue is nearly 50% sales and the other half rentals and service. We are averaging around $85,000 in sales each year. We have a strong reputation for helping people repair bikes and treating our customers with care and respect. We have great reviews and return customers each year. 'The Portal' is a very popular place for visitors and locals and Sun-E-Land Bikes is in great location for a tourism business opportunity and bike shop.
New owners should know a little about bike repair or have a shop manager that knows how to repair bikes. Many students at WWU are good at fixing bikes and I always receive many inquires from students wanting to work with us. I also will remain in Bellingham if you need any help.
