Port Richey is on the west coast of Florida approximately 39 miles north of Tampa and is a suburban city included in the Tampa –St. Petersburg – Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. A few examples are: TJ Max, Dillard's, Best Buy, Panera Bread, Taco Bell, Walgreens, Red Lobster, Office Depot, and more. Gulf View Square Mall is in the process of being repositioned as a retail/multi-family complex. Portions of the property, previously occupied by Macy’s and JC Penny, have been sold to major residential developers. The department store buildings have been demolished and, in their place, approximately 312 apartments will be constructed on 34 acres at the site.
