Gratte-ciel d’avant-garde de deuxième génération, cet immeuble fut la première tour de bureaux construite en béton armé et le premier gratte-ciel de Montréal à disposer d’un parc de stationnement souterrain. Laid out in 1842, the square features a bronze monument to King Edward VII. An iconic shopping artery, the very first downtown shops were laid out around this square. An avant-garde skyscraper of a second generation, this building was the first office tower to be built completely of reinforced concrete and first skyscraper in Montreal to have an underground parking garage.
