South Fort Myers serves as a nexus for distribution and warehousing between Tampa and Miami. This part of Southwest Florida boasts strong connectivity to the rest of the region. Two vital north to south connectors, Tamiami Trail and Interstate 75, pass through the area. In addition, the Southwest Florida International Airport is in South Fort Myers.

Newer facilities are cropping up near Interstate 75 as Lee County continues to grow. Some major tenants operate large facilities in South Fort Myers.
